In case you missed the memo: Sunday is the Super Bowl

On Sunday evening, the AFC champions Kansas City Chiefs will take on the NFC’s San Francisco 49ers in the biggest game in the world.

This Sunday at 6:30 p.m. the San Francisco 49ers will take on the Kansas City Chiefs in Las Vegas for Super Bowl LVIII.

This Super Bowl will be unique compared to games past where there has been typically a team that most casual fans will root for and a villain who people would like to see lose.

But this year, it seems that many people are wishing for both teams to  lose.

Each team has their own advantages this weekend. For example, the 49ers have a better defensive line and linebackers, but the Chiefs have better secondary.

On the offensive side of the ball, the Chiefs have the advantage at quarterback, with Patrick Mahomes and they have a better offensive line. However, the 49ers have better wide receivers and running backs.

According to the Las Vegas line,  the 49ers are  currently two-point favorites (-2) to win, which means that game is anticipated to be close and could possibly end with a game winning field goal, and  the Chiefs have the better kicker, Harrison Butker.

For those people not as interested in the game itself, Usher, who is most well known for songs like “Yeah!” and “DJ Got Us Fallin’ In Love,” will perform during halftime.

And, of course, there are always the commercials.

And, of course, the burning question: Will Taylor Swift make it from her concert in Japan in time to support her boyfriend Travis Kelce?

“I want to see the 49ers win the Super Bowl so that Taylor Swift gets disappointed,” said senior Ben Roberge.

Super Bowl LVIII will be a great game and, overall, a must-watch this weekend.
