Last semester, art teacher Mr. Harriman was asked by a student in his Painting 1 class if they could start an Art Club at PA.

He took to the idea, and the club was formed with Mr. Harriman as the advisor.

The Art Club meets on Tuesdays in Rm. 1169 from 2:30 to 3:30 p.m. The club is an “open studio” where all art supplies are available and students are welcome to work on anything they please.

“I admire seeing students take the opportunity to do their own thing outside of the classroom,” said Mr. Harriman, whose primary concentration is in graphic design.

All students are welcome to join The Art Club. Mr. Harriman said they just need to show up and work on whatever they please.

“[Students] enjoy what they’re doing, and they all seem to have a really good time,” he said.

Freshman Emily Fox is a member of the Art Club who works on art projects such as 3-D art and says the art club is “lots of fun”.

“I personally love it,” she said.
