Everybody who can spare $20 should use it to donate gifts to the less fortunate this holiday season. Even small donations have a big impact on the struggling and less fortunate, affecting them in ways you might not realize.
There are many programs out there to help out kids/families each Christmas that provide hundreds of thousands of families with joy during the holiday.
For example, The United States Postal Services sponsors “Operation Santa,” and The United States Marine Corp collects “Toys for Tots” each holiday season. The New Hampshire State Employees’ Association also runs “Operation Santa Claus” for those looking to donate close to home.
Most of the time, parents will put their kids first and ask for toy donations. When these toys are donated, it brings these families tremendous joy and relief from the stresses of the season.
And donating to those in need brings joy to the giver as well. It feels good to give back to the community and perform a selfless act.
So I implore you, if you can spare anything during the holiday season, please consider helping others.
