2019-20 yearbook’s ‘vision’ includes everyone

If you were to peek into the multi-media room on any given Thursday afternoon, you would find students and advisers working on the 2019-2020 yearbook.

From taking pictures at events to formatting each page, Pembroke Academy’s Yearbook Club needs to complete an abundance of tasks by May. One of the most important things organizing the yearbook to fit its theme: “Vision of Us”.

Staff member Marissa Perry said this year they hope to tell a story through the format rather than a traditional “blocky” set up. Additionally, they hope to expand the senior superlative section to make a more inclusive yearbook overall.

“We need more of the kids that hide in the background and less of the kids in the front row,” said Perry. “The school is about everyone.” The yearbook staff hopes to see more integration between grades within photos, especially during Winter Carnival.

Pembroke Academy’s yearbook staff is currently working hard to compile all the senior quotes turned in on Tuesday, Nov. 12.

The staff is also looking to make some adjustments to the yearbook in the future.

“We are moving to make a huge change potentially next year.” said adviser Ms. Quesnell, the Digital Learning Specialist.
