PA football looks to the future

After a long, winless season, the PA football team finally broke their slump by beating The Kingswood Knights 22-21 at home on Saturday, Oct. 20.

The team lost their first seven games until Knights arrived on the autumn afternoon, snapping a streak that extended from 2017 season.

The Spartans were lead by the offense, scoring all of their 22 points in the first half. As the game got closer in the second half, the defense held on strong for the win.

Coach Moher gives the credit to the offense for “coming out strong” and putting pressure on the Kingswood defense all game.

“The win itself is the best thing I could ask for the team, giving us the confidence we need to go out and play a good game against Merrimack Valley High School,” Moher said.

Not only did the team get their first win but many of the seniors got their first win of their careers.

“The win was a special moment for every player on out team, but especially for our seniors getting their first win it means alot,” Coach Moher said. “It was great giving them such a meaningful send off.”

Sophomore quarterback Ryan Casey said the victory was “really uplifting” and gave the team more confidence to compete in the division.

“We have been working since May to get a win and finally achieving it means our hard work has paid off,” Casey said.

PA ended their season on Oct. 26 with a loss against Merrimack Valley.
